With the current labor shortage, some businesses are getting creative with ways to thanks their employees for sticking around during this crazy time. Now, a Saginaw County restaurant owner is thanking employees with a really awesome gift.

Theresa Miller, who owns Coty’s Landing, is giving 20 of her staff members a free trip to Puerto Rico in January.

“It’s all the staff can talk about right now because it’s just getting so close,” Miller told MLive. “They were pretty happy. Some of them cried.”

A total of 18 are going on the trip. The adventure will include an Airbnb and a rainforest excursion. That’s not to mention getting away from the cold weather this winter.

“I thought it would be a nice little give-back,” Miller added in the interview. “It’s just a chance for all of us to hang out and just have fun.”
