Michigan is About to Get Hit with Hazardous Winter Weather – Here’s Where

Lower Michigan is finally getting some of its first snowflakes of the season, and that's all fun and games until the roads get slippery. I personally hate driving in winter weather. Whether it's snow or ice, it's not fun, and the first snowfall of the season usually has people driving as if they've never seen the white stuff.

Some slippery, wet road conditions are expected in some areas of Michigan on Tuesday night (Nov. 9).

"Reinforced cold air over the Great Lakes with westerly winds is keeping Lake Michigan activated today," the National Weather Service stated, according to the Detroit News. "This set up will continue producing lake clouds with isolated to scattered light rain/snow showers streaming into parts of southeast Michigan."

So, where's the snow?

The National Weather Services says to watch out for difficult driving conditions in west Michigan, specifically, beginning Tuesday evening. A hazardous weather advisory is in effect for the counties of Mason, Lake, Osceola, Clare, Oceana, Newaygo, Mecosta, Isabella, Muskegon, Montcalm, Gratiot, Ottawa, Kent, Ionia, Clinton, Allegan, Barry, Eaton, Ingham, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun and Jackson.
