Michigan has some fantastic colleges that draw students in from around the U.S. and world. Now, with high school seniors coming up on the deadline to pick a school, the crew at WalletHub has ranked the best colleges in Michigan for the 2022-23 school year.

For the study, WalletHub set out to find the "the top-performing schools at the lowest possible costs to undergraduates." They looked at more than 1,000 higher-education institutions in the U.S. using 30 key measures. In Michigan, the top college on the list, nationally, was the University of Michigan at No. 25. A handful of other Michigan schools appeared on the list, too. I went to Michigan State University, so I wish they were higher on the tally! They came in at No. 244 out of 1,000.

Here are the top 10 colleges and universities in Michigan, according to WalletHub:

1. University of Michigan Ann-Arbor
2. Michigan Technological University
3. Kalamazoo College
4. Calvin University
5. University of Detroit Mercy
6. University of Michigan-Dearborn
7. Albion College
8. Kettering University
9. Michigan State University
10. Andrews University
