Detroit is finally getting its own, dedicated selfie museum.

There's already the Detroit Selfie Museum in Novi's Twelve Oaks Mall, and now, starting this weekend, the Selfie Museum of Detroit will open at 719 Griswold Street, marking Detroit proper's first selfie museum.

The Selfie Museum of Detroit is the brainchild of Kelli Cooke and her 14-year-old daughter, Jourdyn Watson. The museum will feature 20 interactive art installations, all of them perfect for Instagram and TikTok photo opps.

The museum officially opens at 11 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 23). For more information and to make reservations, visit selfiemuseumofdetroit.com.
