It’s the end of an era, as the last standing Kmart store in Michigan will close in a matter of months.
The store is located in Marshall, near Battle Creek. According to WOOD-TV, the store will close in November. This is especially sad, since Kmart was founded in Garden City, Michigan.
So, how far will you have to travel to find a Kmart after the last Michigan store closes? You’ll have to go far, as New York is the closest state to still have one, WOOD-TV reports.
Do you have any fond Kmart memories? I actually don’t think I’ve ever been to one, since growing up, the closest Kmart was on the other side of town.
