Michigan is home to plenty of incredible haunted houses, but did you know one of the oldest haunted attractions in the U.S. is right here in Michigan?

Niles Scream Park in Niles, Michigan, has been in service since 1974, when they were first known as the Greater Niles Jaycees Haunted House. That makes the haunted attraction, according to their official website, one of the oldest in the entire U.S.

Niles Scream Park offers 44 acres of "blood-curdling fear," according to a statement. In addition, Niles rebuilds all six major attractions each year with its professionally-designed sets to make things super fresh and scary. It's for a good cause, too, as the park donated more than $109,000.00 to local charities in 2020.

Niles Scream Park is open now. For details, go here. It's a hike from Detroit, but hey, choc it up to a fun road trip.
