These Are the Happiest States in the U.S. – Is Michigan One?

Are you happy? If not, maybe your state is to blame.
The folks at Wallethub put together a list of the happiest states in the U.S., ranking all of the states by environmental factors that linked to a “person’s overall well-being and satisfaction with life.”
They looked at the 50 states across 31 key metrics, “ranging from the depression rate and the positive COVID-19 testing rate to income growth and the unemployment rate.”
So where is Michigan?
The Mitten ranks No. 30 on the list. Geez! We’re not at the bottom, but I would think we’d at least be in the top half of happy states.
The happiest state in the U.S. is Utah, followed by Minnesota, Hawaii, California and North Dakota. For the full list, go here.
