Tesla Cam Catches Man Faking Accident
Having a car video system is a major advantage when it comes to catching a scammer. A man in Louisiana tried to fake an accident in a gas station parking lot but he picked the wrong vehicle to try to scam.
Arthur Bates, Jr. dialed up 911 to report that he’d been backed into by the driver of a Tesla, causing “back, leg, and neck injuries.” Cops eventually caught up to the driver of said Tesla, who contradicted the story saying Bates “jumped behind the vehicle on purpose”…and he had the video to back it up.
In that video, Bates can clearly be seen faking it. Bates later admitted to making it all up and was subsequently arrested.
