We don’t hear about animal attacks too often, but they do happen. If you’re super worried about becoming some animal’s prey, there’s a new study out to determine the states where you’re most likely to be killed by an animal.
The folks at Outforia has looked at which states have lots, or few, “fatal animal attacks per year,” using CDC data from 1999 to 2019.
Coming in at No. 1 is Texas with 520 deaths over those two decades. Yikes! California is No. 2, followed by Florida.
Here’s the list:
1. Texas
2. California
3. Florida
4. North Carolina
5. Tennessee
6. Georgia
7. Ohio
8. Pennsylvania
9. Michigan
10. New York
