Here’s something you don’t see often- and it happened right here in the Detroit area.
A garbage truck crashed into a large building in Sterling Heights on Wednesday (Sept. 8), and the crash unveiled an illegal marijuana growing operation.
The truck was driving southbound on Mound Road, coming up to 15 Mile Road, according to officials. The truck had a red light and turned onto southbound Mound Road.
Police say nobody was injured during the crash, which is good news. While doing their investigating, the police found a major marijuana growing operation in the building.
Police in Sterling Heights are actively investigating the marijuana grow operation and this case.
