Toys“R”Us to Return in 2022 with Shops Opening Inside Macy’s Stores
Toys“R”Us is back, thanks to a new partnership with Macy’s.
On Thursday (Aug. 19), Macy’s announced that the longstanding toy brand would become part of the Macy’s family via Toys“R”Us “shop-in-shops.” The shops will open in more than 400 of Macy’s stores across the U.S. in 2022.
If you’re wondering, yes, Geoffrey the Giraffe will be at the chosen Macy’s stores, welcoming shoppers into the toy section.
“As a Toys’R’Us kid, I could not be more excited to bring this beloved brand that so many of our customers know and love into Macy’s online and to our stores across America,” Nata Dvir, Macy’s chief merchandising officer, said in a statement.
Dvir added, “Our toy business grew exponentially in the past year, with many families looking to inspire their children’s imagination and create meaningful moments together. Toys”R”Us is a globally recognized leader in children’s toys and our partnership allows Macy’s to significantly expand our footprint in that category, while creating more occasions for customers to shop with us across their lifestyles.”
Toys“R”Us toys will also be sold at macys.com/toysrus.
