We think Michigan is a pretty great place to live, but what's the best place to settle down in the Great Lakes State?

Now, a new report from U.S. News & World Report names the top places to live in Michigan, and it puts Ann Arbor at the top of the list.

Here's where Ann Arbor ranked in the U.S. when it comes to education

When compiling its 2021-2022 “Best Places to Live” rankings, U.S. News & World Report researched using at data and public opinions about 150 metropolitan areas around the United States. The data included quality of life, net migration, local job market, value of living and the desirability of each locale.

Ann Arbor scored 7.2 on the overall tally. Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing and Detroit also made the top five.
