Detroit’s El Club Is Reopening – Here’s the First Week’s Lineup
Detroit’s El Club has been closed since the start of the pandemic, but the time is coming for its doors to open.
Well, the El Club hasn’t been completely closed. It was a COVID-19 testing site earlier this year, but it hasn’t been open as a music venue for more than a year.
The El Club recently announced its fall 2021 and upcoming 2022 and this coming fall, and the lineup includes TV Girl, Faye Webster, Arlo Parks and more.
The venue’s first official week back open will begin Aug. 1 with a performance from Danny Brown.
Other artists lined up for opening week include Sada Baby and the Killa $quid (Aug. 2); Jax Anderson and Curtis Roach (Aug. 4); Negative Approach, the Detroit Cobras, and Werwolf Jones (Aug. 5); and the Gories with the Stools (Aug. 6).
What’s even better is that the Danny Brown and Jax Anderson shows are free, but RSVPs are mandatory at ElClubDetroit.com.
