Michael Fred Phelps II was born June 30, 1985. He's the most decorated Olympian of all time, with a whopping 28 medals.
Phelps also has the most Olympic gold medals in the history of the games, plus the most Olympic gold medals in individual events and Olympic medals in individual events. How amazing is that?
Phelps went to the University of Michigan while training for the Olympics, so he has some Michigan roots!
He also is sometimes called the nicknames MP or The Baltimore Bullet.
Currently, Phelps is retired. He won't be at the Tokyo Olympic Games. Sad face!
