Detroit Lions alumni Calvin Johnson and Rob Sims will unveil their cannabis product line, called Primitiv, today (May 27).
It's a long time coming for Johnson and Sims, as they've been working in the cannabis field for years getting ready for the big launch.
In a new Q&A with The Athletic, Johnson and Sims said their vision for the cannabis product line is to do more than simply help NFL players with pain= they want to help CTE research.
"Primitiv is a cannabis research company dedicated to compassionately serving medical marijuana patients throughout the United States, including our home state of Michigan," according to the company's website.
Cannabis products will be for sale at JARS dispensaries.
