Cedar Point's main park will open May 14, and the park has some new, less strict COVID-19 protocols thanks to the increase in Americans getting vaccinated.

A few of the biggest changes include Cedar Point getting rid of the outdoor mask and temperature check requirements.

Other protocols, according to Cedar Point's website, include required reservations for both Cedar Point and Cedar Point Shores Waterpark; a health screening questionnaire to answer at the entrance gates; and social distancing while in line and face coverings recommended (not required) on the rides.

For indoor fun, face coverings will be required for guests 10 and older, unless eating and drinking.

Cedar Point says face coverings are not required outdoors "unless it is not possible to maintain six feet of social distancing."
