Runner's High 5K is a non-profit organization that raises funds and awareness for cannabis research with a focus on athletes and athletics.

The organization has teamed up with sister organization Kairos Cannabis Research Foundation for some upcoming events, including the Canna Films Festival.

The Canna Films Festival, in partnership with Gage Cannabis Co., will feature a screening of the 1995 stoner film Friday starring Ice Cube and the late, great John “Pops” Witherspoon.

Tickets for the Canna Films Fest run $10, and the event will take place this Sunday (April 18) at 8:30 p.m. at Ford-Wyoming Drive-In. Proceeds will benefit the Kairos Cannabis Research Foundation.

Runner's High 5K will also host a 5K run/walk on Belle Isle on Aug. 15 to benefit the Kairos foundation.
