Macomb County is asking for residents to weigh in on which local restaurant serves up the best housemade macaroni and cheese.
Send in your macaroni and cheese picks for the Best Mac in the Mac! All submissions must be received by Monday, March 22, at Noon. Public voting will begin March 29.
The contest is a promotional effort by the Macomb County Department of Planning & Economic Development.
Some rules for the entrants include:
- Macaroni and cheese must be housemade
- Only independently owned and operated restaurants are eligible, not national franchises
- The restaurant must be located within Macomb County
- Only one entry per restaurant
The grand prize is a $2,500 grant from Macomb County and plaque for making the Best Mac in the Mac. The second place restaurant gets a $1,000 grant and the third and fourth runners up will score $500.
