The Detroit Lions and Matt Prater are parting ways.
Prater is signing a free-agent deal with the Arizona Cardinals, closing out one of the great records by a kicker in team history. The deal is reportedly a two-year deal worth up to $7 million.
Prater is unarguably one of the best kickers in the league. Last year, he hit a 59-yard field goal against Washington to win the game and notch the franchise record for longest field goal in history.
He also made one Pro Bowl while in Detroit, back in 2016.
