Superyacht smashes into dock after ‘computer malfunction’
235ft superyacht owner and Capri Sun juice tycoon, Hans Peter Wild is going to be on the hook for some repairs after his yacht crashed into the concrete wall at Sint Maarten Yacht Club in Simpson Bay.
The yacht, which features a helipad, steam room, pool and even a hospital may have also been entangled with a sailboat before the accident. The captain was trying to leave the lagoon when the crash happened. A computer malfunction caused the ship to lose steering, causing it to crash leaving a large gouge in the side of the ship.
