Interview with Jeff Plate of Alta Reign
My ties to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra actually pre-date the band. My first ever radio interview was with the members of Savatage in 1989, specifically Criss Oliva, Jon Oliva and Chris Caffery. Of course back then I had no idea what I was doing and certainly didn’t have the forethought to record it.
Eventually, 1992 I believe it was, I met and became friends with producer Paul O’Neill who was kind enough to include me (as the only member of the media) into the T.S.O. family. In that capacity I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know some of the band members better than others and consider many of them to now be long-time friends, including T.S.O. drummer Jeff Plate.
Jeff who has also been a member of Savatage (and still is when they are active) and Metal Church is now offering music that has been in the works for many years in the form of a new band called Alta Reign.
