What Are the Best New Tech of 2021?
We’re still at the top of 2021, and with the new year comes new tech. Some of the concepts on the horizon for 2021 are pretty intense, but I’m sure at one point, the idea of housing one’s life on a smartphone seemed outrageous. So, what are the best new tech of 2021? From smart toilets to water-powered shower heads, keep reading for some of the best new tech of 2021.
Rollable Phones
When it comes to smart phones, what will they think of next? Apparently, rollable phones are a possible next step. Some of the best new tech of 2021 are rollable smartphones, such as the LG Rollable, which will offer a regular display that looks like the size of a regular smartphone at first but rolls out into a tablet-sized item. The LG Rollable is coming this year, but there’s no exact release date yet. If it does well, chances are you’re going to see a lot more rollable smartphones in the foreseeable future.
A Very Perceptive Toilet
Wow. Just, wow. I never thought I would be writing about something like this in a tech post, but it’s 2021, and the technology is there. Toto’s Wellness Toilet is a unique device that analyzes bowel movements and more. Use this special toilet, and your data is then uploaded to an app on your phone with recommendations on what to eat and information on if anything looked off in your, er, specimen. The Toto Wellness Toilet isn’t here yet, but it’s in development. For more information, go here.
UV Light to Kill Coronavirus in Cars
Judging by how the past year has gone, chances are technology that combats coronavirus will be a big deal going forward. GHSP has launched a new Grenlite ultraviolet light treatment system that combats pathogens in your car. They’re already using the tech in emergency rooms and commercial vehicles, so it’s just a matter of time before it comes to your car, truck or SUV. I somehow can’t picture an ultraviolet light treatment system in my Chevy Malibu, but stranger things have happened! For further details, go here.
A Bluetooth Shower Speaker Powered by Water
Ampere’s Shower Power is a new Bluetooth shower speaker that gets its power from the water in your shower head. You never need to charge this baby! Ampere champions it as “a hydropower Bluetooth shower speaker, made from 100% recycled ocean plastic.” It fits any showerhead, according to Ampere. Learn more here.
The Keurig of Ice Cream
Do you ever want a freshly made, single serving of ice cream, but instead have to settle for the half-opened, overly frozen container in your freezer? ColdSnap to the rescue. The ColdSnap countertop ice cream maker is something like a Keurig machine, churning out single-serve ice cream, plus other frozen treats, including frozen protein shakes, frozen coffee and frozen margaritas.
