BEDFORD, NY - OCTOBER 23: A mailbox stands in front of the Bedford residence of billionaire George Soros on October 23, 2018 in Bedford, New York. Police discovered an explosive device after responding to a call from an employee of the residence about a suspicious package in the mailbox. No one was hurt in the incident and Soros was not home at the time. Soros, a top donor to liberal causes around the world, has become a target of right-wing groups. If Tiger King has taught us anything it’s that there is a ferocious appetite for news stories about people and animals acting badly and the wild happenstance of life. In that spirit each night during the 9 and 10 o’clock hour I enjoy playing a game with you, the listener, called Florida or Australia. The rules are simple: I’ll tell you about a news story on the air and you text or call in and tell me if you think the story happened in Florida or Australia.(because those two places seem to have a high concentration of craziness.) Here are tonight’s stories:

Australia man missing for 18 days 'survived on mushrooms'

Police said Mr Weber spent three days in the car before running out of water and setting off on foot. He then became lost but remained near a dam where he survived by "sleeping on the ground, drinking dam water and eating mushrooms".

South blotter: Special delivery to vacant home not so special

Vandalism: Though currently vacant, a residence in the 300 block of South Atlantic Drive has been receiving regular deliveries of dog feces. The unsolicited feces has been placed in the mailbox. The mailbox has not been damaged, just filled with excrement. There are currently no suspects.

Be sure to tune in Monday through Friday nights at 9 and 10pm if you want to play along.
