Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins reunited online in honor of the 30th anniversary of "The Silence of the Lambs." The show, which earned them both Oscar awards, was Jonathan Demme's film adaptation of Thomas Harris' novel.
The appearance was in conjunction with Variety's "Actors on Actors" series.
At first, Hopkins said he thought the title of the show implied that his agent wanted him in a a kid's movie.
He explained, "My agent sent a script. He said, 'Why don't you read this? It's called "Silence of the Lambs."' I said, 'Is it a children’s story?'"
Hopkins also admitted that even though he was a seasoned actor, he was a bit intimated by Foster. "I was scared to speak to you. I thought, 'She just won an Oscar [for 'The Accused']," he said.
Foster chimed in, admitting that she was blown away by Hopkins' acting abilities, stating, "...as you launched into Hannibal Lecter, I felt a chill come over the room."
