Michigan’s Largest Aquarium Thanking Grocery Store Workers with Free Admission
Sea Life Michigan Aquarium, Michigan’s largest aquarium, is thanking grocery store employees for their help amid the ongoing pandemic.
The aquarium is offering complimentary admission for all grocery store workers on weekdays starting Jan. 19 and running through Feb. 26 to pay tribute to the unsung heroes of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The Grocery Store Hero Appreciation Days free one-day admission is available to be redeemed online and is good for weekday visits, Monday through Friday, via this link.
“These grocery store workers are unsung heroes, tirelessly dedicating countless hours in our country’s time of need, and it’s not lost on us that they do so at the risk of their own health, and sacrificing time with their own families,” Hayley Anderson GM of SEA LIFE Michigan said in a statement.
“In our small way, we hope this can bring a little more joy into their lives; and an opportunity for our nation’s grocery store workers to spend a day enjoying carefree family fun.”
Ever grocery store employee is also allowed to bring up to four guests who will score 50% off admission.
When arriving to the aquarium, grocery store heroes must show their online ticket, plus their employee ID or valid pay stub to show their work as a grocery store employee.
Sea Life’s Michigan location is inside Great Lakes Crossing Mall in Auburn Hills.
