If Tiger King has taught us anything it’s that there is a ferocious appetite for news stories about people and animals acting badly and the wild happenstance of life. In that spirit each night during the 9 and 10 o’clock hour I enjoy playing a game with you, the listener, called Florida or Australia. The rules are simple: I’ll tell you about a news story on the air and you text or call in and tell me if you think the story happened in Florida or Australia.(because those two places seem to have a high concentration of craziness.) Here are tonight’s stories:

Drug Suspect's Cake Claim Was Half-Baked

JANUARY 4--You just expect more from a Geneus. After police found a scale and bags containing white and brown substances in his backpack, a Florida Man claimed that he was carrying "a bag of sugar and a bag of corn starch to bake a cake," according to an arrest report.

Aussie Cricket Fan Catches Ball In His Beer Cup And Downs It To Celebrate

Catching a cricket ball at a game is one of the best things that can happen to a fan. You have to be in the right time and place and ensure you keep your eyes on the prize otherwise you could end up with a nasty injury.

Be sure to tune in Monday through Friday nights at 9 and 10pm if you want to play along.
