ArtPrize Announced for 2021 with $450K in Prizes and Grants

ArtPrize 2021 is on.

Organizers have announced the Grand Rapids event will take place Sept. 16 through Oct. 3. The event and competition was canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

“We can’t thank you enough for your patience, support and understanding as we all navigated through an unexpected and challenging year. We missed hosting visitors and celebrating thousands of artists, venues and creatives that breathe life into this vibrant event and competition,” Art Prize said in a news release.

ArtPrize will release more information regarding $450,000 in grants and prizes soon, according to the organization. Artist and venue registration dates are also on the way.

ArtPrize 2020 was scheduled to take place from Sept. 16 to Oct. 4.

Anne Erickson started her radio career shortly after graduating from Michigan State University and has worked on-air in Detroit, Flint, Toledo, Lansing and beyond.
