Detroit Lions Part Ways with Special Teams Coordinator Brayden Coombs- But Why?
Today (Dec. 21), the Detroit Lions announced they they let go of special teams coordinator Brayden Coombs.
So, why was he let go? After all, many considered Coombs one of the more solid people involved with the Lions’ 2020 season.
The Detroit Lions announced today that Brayden Coombs has been relieved of his duties as Special Teams Coordinator.

According to Kyle Meinke of MLive, Coobs “was fired over calling a fake punt without Darrell Bevell’s knowledge or approval, per team source. Bevell made the decision to fire Coombs and it was approved by Rod Wood.”
