Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford suffered a rib injury last weekend, but he isn’t bowing out of this Sunday’s game yet.
Stafford appeared on a Zoom call with reporters on Wednesday (Dec. 16) and said that while he obviously wasn’t feeling great Sunday, he has hopes to feel better soon.
When asked about the possibility of playing Sunday, Stafford responded, “I really have no expectation at the moment, to be honest with you. Just taking it day by day, trying to see if I can get to feeling a little bit better.”
Stafford added that, “I obviously don’t ever like coming off the field, but I didn’t feel like I could help us anymore.”
He also said he’s been “doing everything I can to try to make it feel better.”
Wishing you a full recovery, Stafford!
