Disney+ has unveiled a new trailer for their upcoming TV series, Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. The series is a sequel to the first three films in the franchise, seeing Emilio Estevez reprising his role as Gordon Bombay, the former attorney-turned-ice hockey coach.

The first Mighty Ducks film arrived in 1992, and since then, the franchise has released two sequels, an animated series and a real-life professional hockey team. Estevez has been a constant in the franchise, appearing in every movie, so his role in the Disney+ series is cause for celebration. The series is currently scheduled to include 10 original episodes.

The trailer depicts Estevez as Gordon Bombay and also features co-star Lauren Graham as she goes on the hunt for a coach to head up a new junior hockey team. The comedy arrives when she discovers she doesn't have the most athletic group of kids on hand, but Bombay assures her all will be well. All in all, the trailer promises a feel-good film that's family-friendly and uplifting.

The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers will stream on Disney+ in 2021. An official premiere date is forthcoming.
