I love a cover song. No matter if its a radical reinterpretation of a beloved favorite or taking a song I can’t stand and changing the genre, I’m always down to give new versions of something a listen. It’s even sweeter when done by hodge podge all-star bands featuring members of some of rock’s greatest.

Last week Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante added this fantastic rendition of a Soundgarden song already immortalized by the late Johnny Cash. Grabbing Bill Kelliher, guitarist of Mastodon, Mark Menghi, bassist of Metal Allegiance and William DuVall from Alice in Chains to pay tribute.

Also released last month was this truly fun rendition of Faith No More’s first big hit featuring over a dozen rockers from Korn, Our Lady Peace, Filter, Run DMC, and more done to raise awareness to all the out of work people in the touring industry and the Roadie Relief effort.
