My 25th Anniversary – My Detroit Players – Meltdown
With my 25th anniversary at WRIF coming up this Sunday, I thought I’d talk about the great Michigan people I’ve met over the past quarter century. I’ve made some lifelong friends. From musicians, to coworkers, to neighbors and listeners.
Here’s a few I’ve been able to become friends with since I arrived in 1995….
I met Kid Rock in January of 1999. It wasn’t too long until he had taken over Detroit, selling out the Palace in October of that year. The rest is history….
Of course there’s been other bands that have done very well that came out of Michigan. I Prevail, pope Evil and of course, Greta Van Fleet.
And how could I have a blog about local music legends without these guys? Arthur P. and Ken Calvert!
25 and counting…more to come!
