Today I thought it would be fun to post some memories I’ve made and some people I’ve met outside of music.
Meeting Jeff Daniels was fun. Of course he’s been in a billion movies, but I had to ask him about “Dumb and Dumber”. I asked him how many times a day someone brings up that movie to him. He responded, a little bit disgruntled “About 50!’ LOL I don’t know if you can see it clearly on the picture, but he’s pointing at my hand which has a couple of Mike Krushelnyski’s Stanley Cup rings on it.
Local guy, Jack Roush, as always been nice to me. A true Motor City icon!
I became friends with Nick Lidstrom during the 04/05 lockout. I got the chance to play a lot of hockey with him. This picture was taken at the first night of hockey at the LCA. I messaged him to swing by before the game where I was broadcasting. He told me he was going to come by with a guy they called “Homer”. Two great people.
Yeah, my rock room walls have more than just rockers on it. I met Kim Kardashian at a function before the Grammys back in 2009. I think she was pretty fired up to take a picture with me.
Here’s a couple characters I meet back in the Drew and Mike days. Ron Jeremy and John Wayne Bobbitt. Quick story….at the Grammys in 2009, Ron was sitting behind me. I told him who I was and were I worked, because he had a relationship with WRIF. Kid Rock happened to be playing the show that night and Ron was begging me to give him his number so he could go backstage with his buddy, Dennis Hof – the owner of the famous Bunny Ranch in Vegas. This guy was in the “Cowboy” video and didn’t have any way to contact the band? That should tell you everything you need to know.
I bumped into Robert O’neill at the final Kid Rock show at the LCA. They’re good friends so he came by to watch. He’s the guy who killed Osama Bin Laden.
I was just telling a friend about this picture a few days ago, when I found it. It was taken outside a restaurant in Sterling Hghts.
