If Tiger King has taught us anything it’s that there is a ferocious appetite for news stories about people and animals acting badly and the wild happenstance of life. In that spirit each night during the 9 and 10 o’clock hour I enjoy playing a game with you, the listener, called Florida or Australia. The rules are simple: I’ll tell you about a news story on the air and you text or call in and tell me if you think the story happened in Florida or Australia.(because those two places seem to have a high concentration of craziness.) Florida man gets $37,500 after officer thought doughnut glaze was meth

ORLANDO, Fla. - A Florida man who was arrested in 2015 after police mistook doughnut glaze in his car for meth has received a $37,500 settlement. Dan Rushing received the settlement after suing the city of Orlando, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Rushing, 65, was arrested in December 2015 during a traffic stop when Cpl.

Florida man nearly killed in freak lawn furniture accident

BRADENTON, Fla. (WFTS/CNN) - A Florida man was injured while moving pool furniture around on his patio. It only took a second, but he nearly lost his life. Charles Lee was moving a lounger when a gust of wind knocked him off his feet into his pool.
