Former Blink-182 singer and guitarist Tom DeLonge is making his directorial debut with Monsters of California.

The movie, according to Deadline, is a “coming of age adventure with a science fiction twist,” and you can bet that DeLonge will use his passion for UFOs and aliens when working on the film.

DeLonge is directing and co-producing the movie, and he also co-wrote its script with Ian Miller. DeLong will also be writing and performing original music for the movie’s soundtrack.

Monster of California will star Richard Kind (Mad About You, Curb Your Enthusiasm), Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers), Arianne Zucker (Days of Our Lives), Sports Illustrated model Camille Kostek and more.

DeLonge took to social media to say what a great time he’s having on set, stating, “…I actually laughed so hard yesterday, I had tears. I really think you’re all going to love this film.”
