Millie Bobby Brown Almost Quit Acting After Losing This ‘Game Of Thrones’ Role
Since starring in Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown has become a superstar. But that almost didn’t happen.
In a recent interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actress reveals she was rejected after auditioning for Lyanna Mormont on Game of Thrones. That made her want to throw in the towel.
Lyanna Mormont was a feisty fan-favorite that appeared in the series from seasons six to eight. She was an ally of Jon Snow and Sansa Stark and was played by Bella Ramsey.
Millie told the story, saying, “This industry is just full of rejection, 24/7. You get ‘no’s, a lot of ‘no’s, before you get a ‘yes.’ I themn auditioned for Game of Thrones, and I got a no for that. That’s kind of when I was like, ‘Oh, this is really difficult,’ and I guess I really wanted that role.”
She adds that her last go at auditioning was for the Netflix show, Montauk, which later became Stranger Things. Since playing Eleven, and she has been nominated multiple times for Emmys.
