If you're looking for a job and know your stuff about cannabis, Common Citizen is extending its outdoor job fair into next week.

The cannabis company's job fair will run from noon to 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, and Tuesday, Sept. 29, for numerous positions at its new Hazel Park store, located at 877 E. 8 Mile Road.

The job fair will take place in three tents outside the Hazel Park store on both days. All Common Citizen team members and applicants must to wear masks and maintain a safe social distance before and during the interview process.

The store is on target to open in mid-October.

"The City of Hazel Park has welcomed Common Citizen with open arms, and we are proud to create jobs and help improve the local economy in this vibrant community during these challenging economic times," Michael Elias, Common Citizen CEO, said in a statement. "Next week's Hazel Park job fairs will be a critical step toward expanding our highly qualified Common Citizen team in Hazel Park and beyond while maintaining our commitment to the safety, health and well-being of our customers, employees, future team members and our communities."

Common Citizen plans to hire up to 15 budtenders at the Hazel Park location, and at least 20 people to fill entry-level manufacturing positions at its adjacent cannabis processing facility. Budtenders "help educate customers about the benefits of safe cannabis use and recommend safe, high-quality cannabis products that serve the individual needs of every customer," according to a statement.
