If Tiger King has taught us anything it’s that there is a ferocious appetite for news stories about absolute disaster people. In that spirit, each night during the 9 and 10 o’clock hours I enjoy playing a game with you, the listener, called Florida or Australia. The rules are simple: I’ll tell you about a news story on the air and you text or call in and tell me if you think the story happened in Florida or Australia. (because those two places seem to have a high concentration of craziness.) Fridays are a special wildcard edition where I ask you to determine if the stories are homegrown crazy or imported from other countries. Here are tonight’s stories:

A set of deer antlers were mysteriously left at the scene of a Timaru burglary in which nothing was taken on Tuesday night. Police are still trying to piece together the mysterious burglary at the Beverley Rd address in which a shed was broken into but nothing was stolen and an angle grinder and the deer's skull with antlers was left behind.

Little girl drifts out to sea on inflatable unicorn, gets rescued by ferry

It was a rescue of mythic proportions in Greece. A young girl sitting on a giant inflatable unicorn was swept out to sea by strong currents off the town of Antirio in the Gulf of Corinth on Monday, according to the Greek City Times.

Be sure to tune in each night at 9 and 10pm if you want to play along.
