Earn $1,000 to Digitally Detox in an RV
We’re all on the computer a lot in 2020, and according to Satellite Internet, being online so much is resulting in less physical activity and time outside.
With that in mind, the Salt Lake City-based company has launched a special “job” of sorts to give one favorable applicant the opportunity to digitally detox for 48 hours.
The randomly selected winner will be paid $1,000 for going 48 hours without using technology of any kind.
“We wanted to find a way to help someone tune out the world and get back in tune with nature,” the company said in a statement.
Said detoxer must be 25 years or older, have a valid driver’s license and be eligible to work in the U.S. A winner will be selected on Sept. 23, 2020, at 11:59 p.m.
The detoxer will be able to use their mobile device until they reach their destination, which will be a national park of their choosing, but once at the RV’s campsite, the phone and computer must go off.
Tincher says the winner is allowed to bring a friend along for the trip, to boot.
