Happy National Radio Day – Thank You!

I just wanted to post a Thank You to some people on National Radio Day.

Thank You to those I work with, those I have worked with and those I have worked for. I’ve learned much from both..

Thank You to those who listen to my show, podcast or watch my videos…that means a ton!

Thank You to those who stop me at concerts (when we had them) to just say “Hello” or talk about the station or their favorite music. Man, I miss those days the most..

Thank You to those who work behind-the-scenes and never get any recognition…

Thank You to all of those who believed in my when I was trying to pursue my dream of being on the radio.

Not many people can say they enjoy going to work day after day for three decades. I can! I look forward to each day’s challenges. Each days interviews. Each days ups and downs.

I don’t have to go to work everyday, I GET to go to work and I love it. I owe a lot of people “Thanks” for this chance.

Chapter X – Meltdown

 

 

Meltdown started on the mighty WRIF on the evening of Halloween, 1995. Technically, his first on-air shift was the morning of November 1st. Moving to the Motor City from Buffalo, N.Y., he has built a career and family. Over his almost three-decade stint at RIFF, he's had the privilege to work with some of the biggest personalities in Detroit radio history. He boasts of being just the second-afternoon drive jock in the station's illustrious 53-year history. Along with his love for rock music and attending concerts, he's also an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast and hockey player. He plays year-round and manages to squeeze in a few charity games throughout the year. Meltdown writes about the Detroit Red Wings, rock music, and Detroit concert venues.
