If Tiger King has taught us anything it’s that there is a ferocious appetite for news stories about absolute disaster people. In that spirit each night during the 10 o’clock hour I enjoy playing a game with you, the listener, called Florida or Australia. The rules are simple: I’ll tell you about a news story on the air and you text or call in and tell me if you think the story happened in Florida or Australia.(because those two places seem to have a high concentration of craziness.) Here are tonight’s stories:

Florida man who survived gator bite gets attacked by shark

A Florida man who loves to spend his free time on the water now has two wild stories to tell, one involving a shark and the other involving a gator, plus he has the scars to prove it.

Drugs plane bound for Australia was so packed with cocaine it was too heavy to take off, police say

A light plane heading for Australia was allegedly laden with so much cocaine it was too heavy to take off, police say. The plane, allegedly packed with $80 million worth of the illegal drug, was trying to fly from Papua New Guinea to Queensland when it crashed on take-off last week.

Be sure to tune in Monday through Friday nights at 10pm if you want to play along.
