When scientists discover a new species, what's really special for them is that they often get to name it.

Such is the case with the new, Loureedia phoenixi spider. The spider features a red, black, and white pattern that, at least scientists think, looks a lot like Joaquin Phoenix's makeup in "Joker."

The spider has been aptly named the "Joker," with the full name being Loureedia phoenixi, in honor of both Lou Reed of the Velvet Underground and Phoenix. Check it out below.
