Today is the final installment of my June Music Challenge. For favorite album from the past year, I'm going to pick one and a couple honorable mentions...only because they came out last year.

First up, it's the latest album from Ozzy. I wasn't sure what to think about this record before putting it on. I had played the two singles - "Under The graveyard" & "Straight To Hell" - and thought this album could have potential. It does! Add Slash, Duff, Elton John and Post Malone, whose song on the record is pretty good, and you have a winner. Solid effort from the Ozzman.

As for the honorable mention records from last year, I'll pick the latest album from the former Cinderella front man, Tom Keifer. Rise is a bluesy, rockin', personal, all-out jam. It came out last fall, and as I told Tom, the only complaint I have about the record is that it's too short! Great album from Tom and the band.

Rival Sons dropped Feral Roots at the start of 2019. It's just solid. It's a well crafted, thought out, full-on rock album. These guys have really hit their stride.

What say you? #MeltdownsJMC
