Bright Eyes will release their first album in nearly a decade, “Down in the Weeds Where the World Once Was,” on Aug. 21.
Fans don’t have to wait until August to hear some new music from the group, though. The band has released a new single, “Mariana Trench,” which will arrive as part of the set.
Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis, and Nate Walcott released eight albums together from the late-’90s through 2011, before going on an indefinite hiatus. In recent years, Oberst kept busy with a solo career and other projects, but fans have been wanting the guys to get back together for a while. Wish granted!
