You've got to have an album or two someone gave you, right? Whether it be an actual album or cd. Hell, I gave Jonel at work a download code for the new Ozzy record.

This one is a record my mother gave me a billion years ago. I remember playing hockey in the driveway when her and my dad came home. She got out of the car and gave it to me. To this very moment I have no idea why she did it. It's not like my parents came home every day with gifts for me and my brother and sister. Maybe she had a few extra bucks. Maybe I'd been extra good that week....ok, that's probably not it. All these years later I still don't know why she got this for me.

I'll never find out, as she passed in 1992 and my dad has a memory like me. I'm sure he doesn't remember anything about that day, I'm surprised I do. I think about her every time I hear something off this album.
