This is another topic that has TONS of correct answers. I'll just spit out a few off the top of my head.

This ASIA album is pretty much perfect to me. They were an 80's "super group" made up of guys from ELP and Yes. This album is masterful.

I also loved the Robert Plant album Now and Zen. It was a departure from Zeppelin but in a good way. I think it's great. 

Ozzy's first two albums of the 80's, Diary of a Madman and Blizzard of Ozz, were better albums, but this one was one of the first albums I bought with my own money and I played the hell out of it. 

Cinderella and Judas Priest are two of my favorite bands from that era, even though Priest did come out of the 70's. These two albums are classics and monster 80's albums in my opinion.

Meltdown started on the mighty WRIF on the evening of Halloween, 1995. Technically, his first on-air shift was the morning of November 1st. Moving to the Motor City from Buffalo, N.Y., he has built a career and family. Along with his love for rock music and attending concerts, he's also an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast and hockey player. He plays year-round and manages to squeeze in a few charity games throughout the year. Meltdown writes about the Detroit Red Wings, rock music, and Detroit concert venues.
