On the bright side, I've got Oasis on the turntable. On the bad side we might not see a Red Wing hockey game until 2021. Commissioner, Gary Bettman, came out yesterday and laid out plans for a possible playoff  scenario. When it would start and what hub cities they would be played from have yet to be answered. Then it got more confusing when it came to the draft lottery. I'm just annoyed we're ever talking about the lottery here in Hockeytown! Come on, Stevie....do your magic and get this team competitive again.

Well, it looks like the biggest crook in Detroit history is going to stay locked up. Kwame Kilpatrick was denied early release, despite reports last week that he would be getting out. My heart breaks.......

Coming up on my Talkin' Rock podcast a fun conversation with Rob Dietrich who makes Metallica's Blackened whisky. Lots of fun stories and an interesting take on how the whisky is made.

Meltdown started on the mighty WRIF on the evening of Halloween, 1995. Technically, his first on-air shift was the morning of November 1st. Moving to the Motor City from Buffalo, N.Y., he has built a career and family. Over his almost three-decade stint at RIFF, he's had the privilege to work with some of the biggest personalities in Detroit radio history. He boasts of being just the second-afternoon drive jock in the station's illustrious 53-year history. Along with his love for rock music and attending concerts, he's also an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast and hockey player. He plays year-round and manages to squeeze in a few charity games throughout the year. Meltdown writes about the Detroit Red Wings, rock music, and Detroit concert venues.
