Marilyn Manson’s longtime portraitist, British photographer Perou, is releasing a new book featuring a collection of classic and previously unpublished images of Manson.

The book, called “21 Years In Hell,” will arrive in June via Reel Art Press.

Perou started his collaboration with Manson in 1998 when he photographed the musician for a magazine cover shoot, and Perou has served as Manson’s principal photographer ever since.

“I often get asked, ‘Who was your favourite person to photograph?’ or ‘Who is the best person you’ve photographed?’” Perou said. “It’s always ‘Marilyn Manson.’ Which is just as well, considering how many times I’ve photographed him.”

Manson commented, “I just remember the first time you showed up you had more rings than me. You look still, and did at the time, like you were going to be in that movie Romper Stomper: bomber jacket, high laced boots, fully British, barely understandable.”

Perou has photographed a range of famous faces, including Led Zeppelin, Jay-Z, U2, David Attenborough, Coldplay, Al Gore, Damien Hirst, Missy Elliott and more.
