A belated Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. What would we do without you?

Well, I'm still binging Deadwood. I just started season two this morning. I'm really liking it. It's one of those series that I've always wanted to see but just never had the time.

Since it's Monday I thought I'd pass along another pro-wrestling story. It was December of 2001, a few months after the 9/11 attacks. Wrestling was coming to town and Kurt Angle was making an appearance, I believe to promote his book. I asked him if he would take a picture with my 7 month old daughter and me for my annual Christmas card. He was very nice in holding her as she held an American flag. I thought it would be the perfect picture/card for the year, since Kurt had won Olympic gold for the U.S. in wrestling. The card read "Have a very 'A-Merry-Can' Christmas".

Later that night I went to the event at the Joe. I can't recall how I ended up backstage. I may have done an announcement in the ring or something like that, but I ran into Kurt and we talked for a few minutes. Next thing I know, this giant of a man comes by. Kurt introduces me to this unknown wrestler and refers to him as "The Next Big Thing". Yes, that next big thing, Brock Lesnar.

Enjoy your day!
