Happy Friday! You've made it to the end of another work week. Maybe it's just another day for you. Anyways, I hope you're well reading this.

It's no surprise that I am loving these Stanley Cup replays on Fox Sports Detroit. We sure had a great run! Hopefully Stevie Y. can bring us back to prominence once again.

In the following years I was lucky enough to play with a lot of guys from those Cup winning teams. Chris Chelios, Kris Draper, Aaron Ward, Darren McCarty, Tomas Holmstrom, Nick Lidstrom, Steve Yzerman, Doug Brown and Igor Larionov I got to play with during the 04-05 lockout. It was such a blast!

Larionov, who everyone called "Iggy", was really nice. He was always on the dark squad, so I never got to play with him. I recall stretching one morning when Iggy skated by. I said "No fancy moves today, Iggy". He replied in his Russian laced English "No fancy moves". Of course he was "the professor" and had a large bag of tricks that he could pull out anytime with that almost straight hockey stick he played with.

Today is the anniversary of the death of Miss Elizabeth. What a nice lady. I only got to meet her once. It was in the late 90's and tickets for a WCW event were going on sale. The wrestlers would always come into town and do appearances at a local Harmony House to prime the pump for good ticket sales. It was her and Chris Jericho that were to sign autographs and take pictures. Jericho was late because plane was behind schedule. She decided to walk out and greet the fans waiting in line just so they wouldn't be bored, a move she didn't have to do at all. For today's FourPlay it's songs for the women!

While I was looking for my pictures with Miss Elizabeth, I ran across this old gem that I forgot I even had. An autographed Ronnie James Dio concert ticket stub. I only met him once also. He couldn't have been nicer. He stood around 5'3 and was a giant in terms of his humbleness and generosity. I remember hanging with him on the bus for about 10-15 minutes. The time came when I felt I should head out and got up to leave. Ronnie stood up and hugged me and said "Thanks for coming to the show". Just a great person and someone I was a huge fan of growing up.
